2. Make sure you have weather information for ALL 5 DAYS. If you do not, get the information from your classmates.
3. Use the weather data to make DOUBLE LINE GRAPHS on pages 6 and 7. Here's how to make a double line graph:
- Label the LEFT-HAND Y-AXIS. For the first graph (Air Pressure vs. Temperature) you will label the lines starting from 29.5 at the very bottom, going up by 0.1 each line.
- Make a line graph for Air Pressure using your data
- Now label the RIGHT-HAND Y-AXIS. Start at 25 degrees at the bottom, and go up by 5 degrees for each line.
- IGNORE THE AIR PRESSURE Y-AXIS, and use the Temperature Y-Axis to make another line graph for temperature (using a different color)
- Continue this process for all graphs on pages 6-7
5. Turn to page 17. Use the internet to look up the answers for the table. Determine how thunderstorms, tornados, and hurricanes form, and record locations where these severe weather events take place.
6. Pick up a DROUGHT Color-by-Number sheet at the front of the room. Attach it to page 16 of your packet (I put mine on the whiteboard so you can see what I mean). Color, color, color. It is an important skill to be able to turn one piece of information into another!
